DON’T TOUCH MY HAIR!

DON’T TOUCH MY HAIR!

Early on Shelby learned to have no filter when it came to her hair. She would flat out yell at people when whe was little because her hair had such perfect ringlets everyone wanted to get their hands on them.

As she got older this hair craze continued.

A typical conversation with someone that came in contact…..

“Oh my God! Are you kidding me?!! Did you just touch my hair???!!! I CANNOT believe you did that, GET away from me right now! NO don’t touch me!!

That was my whole childhood.

The Murky Lagoon

The Murky Lagoon

This is one memory I will remember and laugh at for the rest of my life. Shelby, Marybeth and I went to their cottage for a weeks vacation; to get to there we had to park and take a boat to the island it is on. Shelby’s uncle had came to pick us up in the boat and Shelby hopped in without an issue… Of course when I went to get in, the end of the dock started to very quickly sink and the boat drifted out so I attempted to get into the boat and failed miserably. Shelby stood there staring at me in shock for a few seconds as I was yelling for her to grab me and did “the plank” stretching from the sock to the boat. Marybeth yelled “what are you doing?!” And grabbed my belt loop, trying to pull me back. As she did this my pants came down and my head went right in the murky lagoon. I stayed under for a few seconds before Marybeth let go and all I wanted was to find my shoe that fell off in the water LMAO. Remembering my phone in my bra I pulled it out and threw it to Shelby who had just literally peed her pants on the boat from laughing so hard. To this day my dad thinks I broke that phone on purpose to get a new IPhone.

Every time I find myself very sad I think of this and Shelby’s laugh and I smile. I hope this story makes you smile too.

Happy birthday to my best friend

Happy birthday to my best friend

Shelby and I used to spend all of our birthdays together and I will treasure those memories forever. She surprised me on my birthday last year and it was the best birthday ever having her and merybeth come down to see me. I remember every birthday we used to spend together consisted of just about everything we usually do at every sleepover just with more cake. Happy birthday best friend I love you.

Shelby Driving for the First Time

Shelby Driving for the First Time

I will never forget Marybeth’s video of Shelby driving for the first time.  Shelby covered her eyes with her hands every time she hit the brakes and panicked at her “speed” as the car crawled past the trees visible through the driver side window.  It was the funniest thing I ever watched and hearing Marybeth laugh behind the camera while giving instructions to Shelby made it all the funnier.  I watched that video many times😊
